| Course summary | The TEFL Intensive is a four-week course held twice each year at the University of Saskatchewan. It consists of the first two courses (80 course hours plus 12-15 tutoring practice hours)in the nationally accredited 250-hour CERTESL program. Students who write and pass the final exams and achieve a minumum average of 60% may transfer into the CERTESL program and complete it by correspondence. The TEFL Intensive provides participants who want to teach overseas with the essential tools needed to teach successfully, and also enables those who wish to make TESL/TEFL their career to get a quicker start on the accredited program. This 80-hour certificate is also offered to part-time learners through distance education, but tutoring practice is voluntary and cannot be supervised in the distance format. |
